Screen Shots. how do i get

Can someone please tell me how I would go about getting a screen shot while I'm playing the game. Like if i wanted a freeze frame during a battle, a close up of one of my ships or just a picture of a part of the galaxy. After reading the game examples from some of the devs i was inspired and thought i could maybe make an interesting short about a game i'm playing.

The simplest way is to use a third party utility such as FRAPS.

Alternately, press the printscreen key in-game to capture a shot, then exit or switch out, open a graphics program, paste the captured image in, and save it.
