serial number for the gold edition ? cant find mine

Okay i just bought this game (Gold edition) at a local store and when in install it everything is okay but during this install i was asked for my serial number, its said like its suppose to be on the back of the jewel case... But i just can't find ANY serial number on the jewel case, or even in the box... i have a manuel, a casing with 2 CD to intall the game, a paper-teaser for 'sins of solar empire' , another paper to get a 10$ discount via mail... I also have a list of starmap hot keys, But no serial number

They said its suppose to be written on the back of the jewel case... is it really true ?

The box was properly sealed and everything seems ok in the box, but no serial number... I need help

Sorry for my poor english i did my best but its not my primary language

Since im not 'that' good in english, a 'jewel case' is the casing with the cds, true ? Mine is in traparent plastic, no label on it, no serial number... Just 2 cds...

I paid for that game and i realy want to register it and get access to the lastest stuff :\

Why don't you take it back to the store and demand one with a serial. else you will have to wait till at least monday, Support isn't open weekends.

Well i wont be able to go to the store until next friday (the store is a bit far away from home, but i was not able to find the game near where i live), i can still play the game without serial number until then so i'll just wait and see if i realy need to go back to the store.

Thats good, It would be a shame if you couldn't enjoy your new game.

Did you ever find out where your serial number was for the Gold Edition?

The same thing has happened to me.

For wilsonrx (and zheos):

When properly packaged, you cannot miss the SN in the boxed version of the game. It is on an white (tightly) adhesive sticker ~5 cm x 1 cm in size, across the back of the plastic jewel case that protects the CD. On the outside.

If it is not there, there was a manufacturing/packaging defect.

The good news is, based on past history, Stardock can probably issue you a replacement SN via e-mail, in just a few minutes. But you have to get hold of Stardock Tech Support.

Thanks drrider. I've triple checked everything I had - no SN anywhere. The CD was still wrapped in cellophane so I can probably rule out someone at the shop tampering with it also.
