This would be dynamic... I don't care whats on it, perhaps a moving lake or something, but the day it would be day, during night it would be night...

Perhaps in a future edition, if it was raining, it would rain in this, or snow...

If this was made, I would buy it.

Correct me if I'm wrong here anyone, but hasn't this idea been practically promised with the dynamic dream technology?

From what I've read on the whole dynamic dream business, it could almost be said that it was built to make a dream that would change throughout the day and even check a local weather service and accurately reflect that on the dream as well.

To be honest this is exactly what excited me the most the first time I actually did some reading on deskscapes several weeks/months ago (can't exactly remember lol). The first thing that came to my mind was an animated rainforest that would cycle through the day according to the time and would show rain whenever it was raining outside my door. (I live in Houston so the chances of snow are practically nonexistent)

I think that it should be able to show the predicted weather of Earth, as a rotating image. That way you'd see the worlds forecast 1 hour into the future for example. But then again that's not what Zellio proposed in the first place.

Ok maybe I should rephrase my statement, then. A dream that will literally check if rain is falling outside my doorstep - yes you're quite right chances are practically nonexistent. A dream that will check an online weather service and display the day's weather based on, oh let's say a zipcode - completely possible and quite frankly just a matter of time before it gets done.

Stardock has mentioned in a few posts that they have a feed from Accuweather that they can leverage for their MyColors DX gadgets.

I would guess it likely that premium dreams would leverage the same technology and availability of weather data.  IT seems like a natural extension of Natural Desktop, DesktopX,  and dynamic dreams.

I wish that DeskScapes could support better triggers, not just based on time but also specific days, weather conditions, and maybe sometimes random number generations.

I *might* make a whole lot of similar dreams and trigger them, making a dynamic video desktop. Now SD has to host the whole 200MB lot though.
