'Company of Heroes' Turns Into A Franchise As Promised

THQ & Relic Bringing 'Opposing Fronts'

THQ has officially announced the latest installment in their newly christened Company of Heroes franchise. Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts is scheduled to take on the RTS market this Fall with THQ has assigning the title to the series original creator, the talented internal studio of Relic Entertainment.

Players will be tasked with the liberation of Caen, France as they fill the shoes of the British 2nd Army as well as the German Panzer Elite as they try to repel the largest airborne assault in history. Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts will be a stand-alone title, allowing players to control only the aforementioned forces unless they have the title's predecessor, Company of Heroes. Players that own both titles will be able to use a total of four playable armies for multiplayer warfare.
