Dynamic Animations stop when you maximize windows

I installed deskscapes on my laptop and have a problem with dynamic animations. When I maximize a window, the animation stops. It doesn't "restart" when I close or minize the window. I have to select "pause" and then "play" from the right-click context menu to get it going again. This doesn't seem to happen on video based dreams.

This doesn't happen on my desktop.

Also I noticed on my desktop in a multi-monitor setup that when you maximize a window the animated desktop stops on the other screen.

Any ideas?
