Desktop Earth - The Earth is Squished!

On dual monitors using different resolutions

I like the new dynamic dream, Desktop Earth, but thought I'd point out that when I'm using two monitors with different resolutions the application sends the same resolution picture to the 2nd monitor as it does to the first.

I'm not sure if this is something you can change or not; 'regular' dreams can be cropped and display fine. Is there a way to do this with the dynamic dreams generally or desktop earth specifically?

For reference, I'm running 1920 x 1200 on my primary monitor, and 1600 x 1200 on my secondary. The 1920x1200 picture ends up getting 'squished' to 1600 x 1200 for displaying on my second monitor.

I have the same issue with all of the dreams (Including the "Bouncing Box sample")

Main monitor: 1680x1050 LCD
Second Monitor: 1280x1024 LCD

The main monitor looks streached, the secondary monitor looks correct.

i think the dreams downscale to the lowest resolution available on the monitors...so it will display on the same resolution on the second monitor as it does on the lowest-res monitor. when the dream is displayed on the highest-res monitor, it is shown in the low resolution and seems squashed, this is probably due to that one of each of your monitors are widescreen while the second ones are standard resolution. thats just my guess.

My higher resolution 1920 x 1200 monitor looks correct; the 1600 x 1200 image is distorted. The 1600 x 1200 monitor is displaying a 'squished' version of the widescreen 1920 x 1200 image.

hmm...its probably that the 16x12 monitor is trying to display it in widescreen...
