Downloaded game and backups

I'll downloading the game and I'm not getting the CD. So Im wondering if I can copy/paste the game folder onto my own CD, or will the download be an option for long time?

Yes. You can archive the game which zips it. Then just put the ZIP onto a CD. NOTE: Keep this ZIP safe, your account info is embedded inside.

how exactly do you archive it?
and
how do you then re-install it?
