Laptop battery deskscapes doesnt pause

I've brought the Desktop Earth and would really like to use it on my laptop as well however dont because the latest dynamic wallpapers dont pause animation when the power is taken out. Can this please be fixed, or an option made available so when battery is on the world returns to its start position and the world is paused so that the heavy resources on the GPU arent using the battery up very quickly. This is vital for me as battery life is v important, exspecially with vista's other new enhancements battery life these days can struggle a bit. I'm not sure if a thread on this has already been made or not but even if it has please get this feature in ASAP please.

I'm not entirely sure tbh as I havnt timed it to check, but surely the increase of work load on the GPU would be using up more power? Are you saying that because on Vista the dvm would be using up the same amount of resources to draw the desktop anyway?

I have the same problem, and yes, i do noticed decreased battery life. This is not un expected because when not running, my cpu sits at about 5% but when earth goes up, it sits at about 25% I have compared, and the battery life goes down by half an hour to 45 minutes.
