Trade Embargos... how?

Quoting from the online docs:

"Additionally, you will also be able to turn on and off trade embargos. If you don’t want a particular civilization trading with you, then you can keep them from doing so. When you trade with a particular civilization, it gains just as much from the trade route as you do."

This is talking about the TRADE tab on the DOMESTIC POLICY screen. I see no button that says "Embargo this guy!", so how do I embargo someone?

BTW I hope you aren't referring to the "Kill Route" button. Thats to kill YOUR OWN trade routes, I want to kill the trade routes that the Altarians initiate...

I want to embargo those bastuhd Altarians, as a sort of gradual degradation of their economy to prep for an invasion sometime next year. :notsure:

konfuzius,

You are wise to report this... I think this may belong in the Bug Report thread. In the beta, each major race on the Diplomacy screen had a small check box next to the words "Trade Embargo". I haven't seen it so far, and there actually seems to be a blanked-out space where the option used to appear. I'll bring it up there now.

End transmission.

Actually, we had to take that feature out because there were too many bugs in it.

I don't know if it will be making an appearance in the future.

If it is re-added, it would be cool if you could request via Diplomacy that an AI start an embargo against someone else. This way you could prevent other AIs from trading with your enemies/competition.

Trade sanctions/embargoes are an excellent option in MOO3 when you choose to voice your disgust of another nation but don't want to specifically declare war on them. I hope you guys kill the bugs and put that feature back in GalCiv.

I hope this feature gets added again. When I read it in the manual I thought it was a very nice feature that adds a lot of depth to the game.

And asking another race to start an embargo against another race is a marvellous idea.
