PQ1 worlds and the disloyalty of its people

I'm playing DA 1.5 as the Yor, so that means i have that +100 loyalty bonus. For most of the game its been great because i can colonize a planet anywhere and not really worry too much about the planet flipping away.

Now heres something I don't get, I have colonized 3 PQ1 worlds and each of them is giving me messages that the people are looking to an AI who seem better. (or whatever the message says) I get the skull and crossbones but the planets approval is like 90-100%. One of these worlds actually did flip to the Torians. (they WILL pay....).

Can someone tell me why this is happening and if i can prevent it. I wouldnt expect it to happen to any planet wil a high approval, and then what happened to my +100 loyalty? Freaking ingrates on my planets, they can all go rot... oh sorry was just rambling. I mean if i have to wait to colonize a PQ1 world, the game will be over before it reaches its full potential. I built the orbital terraformer so i now have all the tiles available. I havent seen if the crossbones went away yet.

TWO other unrelated questions I'd like to squeeze in here if i may,

1) At what minus treasury will a complete collapse occur? I'm at war with the Krynn and they have like -840 bc. i was hoping that their whole system will just collapse soon.

2) Like i said, I'm pl;aying DA 1.5. I'm trying my first metaverse game and now im wondering if when i'm done if it will count since i don't have the latest version. Will i be able to post my game?

Unless you ferried people to the PQ1, it had a very low population because of the population cap. So it wouldn't matter much how high the morale is, because it would be overwhelmed by foreign influence.

They're already in collapse, to some degree, in that there's no production below -500. However, most economies will get past -500 quickly because all potential production suddenly becomes BC put towards the debt.

Approval rating has little bearing on whether a planet is going to flip or not, it's due to the ratio for cultural output between yours and the other race's. And a PQ1 isn't going to be putting out alot of influence.

as the two above said, it's because of your low population. if you colonize these worlds with a higher number of initial colonists, it shouldn't be such a problem. a few stock markets bought quickly will also help due to their minor boost in influence, especially if you build one on an influence bonus tile. heck, a few levels of the influence tech line are usually enough to keep my people loyal.

OHHhhhhh i thought that if the people were happy they wouldnt flip.

So i guess even a +100 in loyalty can't do everything.

+100 loyalty merely makes it much more unlikely that your population will flip. It in no ways prevent them from ever flipping. In fact, its possible that they will flip in a single turn despite the bonus to loyalty.

Loyalty is one of those abilities that I could care less about having. Its a mistake to conlonize planets that you are unable to keep due to influence. Also, if you are in a war that has resulted in several of your planets being heavily influenced, lets just say you probally have bigger things to worry about.

For all intents and purposes, try to forget that you had a +100 loyalty. It will save you from making some dangerous mistakes.

Hi!
I have colonized 3 PQ1 worlds and each of them is giving me messages that the people are looking to an AI who seem better.

The first problem with those low PQ planets is they don't have any influence bonus, so you get influence points only from amount of population, buildings, and from your civ ability.

The second one is the calculation of influence for them is flawed (DA, 1.5 and 1.6 beta). On some planets it doesn't recalculate until you have a civ-wide change, like researching another one influence tech.

OHHhhhhh i thought that if the people were happy they wouldnt flip.

They would eventually, but not so fast as unhappy.

So i guess even a +100 in loyalty can't do everything.

True. Don't count on it. To 100% prevent flipping you need to have AI's influence below 4.0, period. Have it higher, and planet will flip. The only question is when.
BTW it looks to me the loyality is flawed as well. With 100% loyality a planet should IMO flip when the influence of the other player would increase to 8.0.

There's also the issue of dealing with a decreased Influence area just when you load the game. Running in 1.5 it generally takes a while for your influence to get to the size it should be right after loading (think it's a few weeks). During this time because of your weakened influence your places are much more likely to get the disloyalty check those first few turns. In fact in one of my current games I had one say it was close to defecting because the other race had 6 times the influence dispite the fact I had 2 other planets sitting right next to it (only 3 billion and 1 billion on them, though) and the nearest location from that other race was almost a sector away.
