SEGA has decided to continue on with its cross platform MMORPG from the Phantasy Star universe announcing an all new expansion for the PC, PS2 and Xbox 360 title Phantasy Star Universe. Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus will be available in stores for PC and PS2 while the Xbox 360 version will be downloadable. All versions will be coming this fall packing in a whole new storyline focusing on the human fundamentalist group the Illuminus. Subscription rates will stand at $9.99 per month for $49.99 for a six-month package.
The title will also bring a casino area to the game for special casino-only items while trying to promote a closer community with new and expanded lobbies. No expansion would be complete without a new line of loot, and this should be no exception. SEGA has promised "a slew of new weapon types, armour, Photon Arts, and clothing." But why stop there, SEGA also plans to allow players to re-customize their homes with a new grid-based layout to allow players to decorate their walls and giving easier access to organizing interactive items and furniture throughout their room.
