move the icon names

I'm using the built in icon size adjustment in the appearance control panel for Windows XP to make the desktop icon small (16x16). I'm now wanting to move the titles for the icons to the right of the icon itself instead of the default position at the bottom. Is there a way within Windows XP to do this? If not, is there an application besides WindowsFX that give me this option (I've have difficulties with WindowsFX)?

You can do it with Avedesk. I have mine at like 90px with the title on the side, plus you can have it display any other info you want. Avedesk basics

Although...it won't do anything for existing icons, Avedesk adds icons/desklets to the desktop.
