Load with no saved games should not be permitted.

How far along is the load feature. Should we be pulling out all the stops in testing? Did I try something
you are not ready for yet?

I renamed the "test" subdirectory and the "test" file in the saved games subdirectory to "test1" and then
tried to "load" from the main menu. It gave me a tech window without any techs to research instead of telling
me there was no saved game to load.

Uh.....No, I hadn't thought of that. I did it for the autosave/restore stuff but not for the load buttons. Obviously, since there is no save/load screen, it's not a complete feature. I just wanted to get the initial stuff working until the artists could get me some graphics for the screen.

my save behaved as though it worked but I could not load it. galciv drops to desktop if I try. am gonna try it again.

I already reported that in another thread (load gets trap 5 at ....). Cari gave one bypass in that thread, but
I find it does not alway get past the problem.
