Make game play out quickly after loss

I think it'd be neat if the game didn't end when I lost but quickly played out the game until one of the AI players (or all or whatever) won. Would be cool to see who ends up on top, especially after surrendering to a given player.

For example. In my last game I was doing well despite being gangbanged by every single opponent except the Drath. I took out everyone but the Terrans, the Drath, and the Krynn. I got the Terrans and Krynn off my back but the Drath were far too powerful from being left alone for so long. The Terrans then attacked again so I surrendered myself and all my goodies to the Krynn. I would've liked to see how that game would have played out, since the Krynn and the Terrans were rather close friends and they probably would have teamed up on the Drath.

Yup, I've requested this before, and still think it's a neat idea.

Yeah, I remember a number of people calling for that as a feature of DA, back when it was being developed. I have no idea how much work it would be, but it would make losing at times an attractive idea!

I can't imagine it would be that hard to do... Just run the AI normally, as if the player wasn't there.

I think that there may be too many variables involved for a game with all AI opponents to play it out quickly. Thats just a guess though, and I may not know what I'm talking about. It would definitely be fun to sit back and watch the AIs compete for galactic dominance.

I am sure that the AI for GalCiv2 doesn't require 100% of the average CPU's speed. Given that you could run it faster to whatever degree is possible. Either way I don't see how it would be a monumental task to make the AI continue normally once you're gone until one of them wins
