Game questions/issues

First off all..great game. If you get a good starting position at the beginning then that really helps.
But I have some questions.
1 Morale. After building so many moral buildings, no war and everything is prosperous, why does it keep dropping? This is several hours in the game, I have big influance, friendly neigbours, no spy trouble, etc etc. It should be a paradise but i have to lower taxes and raise the 'planet moral slider' every time. But all my planets hang around 50%. Senate around 60/70%.
2 Production. Is this in some way connected to moral? All my worlds are getting slower with building. Big class 22 worlds who would take 17 turns orso for a colony ship now take easily 30 turns. That goes for all buildings/ship on all planets. Population on those worlds is almost at max. And stuff like spacefactorys and other production bonusses are build.
3 Diplomacy. I'm pretty far with research, but why can't I choose Non-Agression or something with the other players? I only have declare war and alliance.
4 Random Events. Quite early at the beginning of the game the Drengin got some random event. They would get stronger and stronger in research, production, every field until someone would stop them. Since they were on the other side of the galaxy (gigantic) and i didn't even met them yet, I couldn't do anything about it. And still, I didn't want to do anything about it yet because they were the only pure evil race in the game and I had just started the game. Isn't this a bit of stupid random event? Kill them now or loose the game.
Drengin seems to have all the 'good' random events. Like the one above or they found new class of ship etc, where i would get deceases/plagues, space monsters etc, and I'm *lucky* according to the bonus traits. hmmm.
5 Rebellion. Later in the game I found a new patch of worlds which i wanted to colonize. The AI players where not nearby so I sended a couple of colonizers. I colonized three worlds and with the very next turn they joined the I-league. I couldn't do anything about that. Real frustrating. I've noticed that If i colonized a planet the moral would be 0 or 30% at most. How can that be? There is no threat nearby, the rest of my empire is somewhat good (around 50%). Even when I place a +20% moral building and put the moral slider of that planet at 100% I still loose those new planet the very next turn.
Well thats about it for now, but my biggest issue is the moral stuff. The empire i have is perfect in my eyes, good borders, lots of starbases, no nearby enemy's, lots of traderoutes/military. Just perfect. But moral keeps falling down. Tax at 18%, couple of +20% moralbuildings (like Virtual reality etc), moral slider at 50% or more on every planet. What am i missing?
Aaahh.. but great game. I've lost 7 hours last evening and will again this evening.
