THQ has delayed their upcoming sandbox style multiplatform shooter Frontlines: Fuel of War to sidestep the already crowded Holiday 2007 release schedule. THQ CFO Edward Zinser announced the delay as part of a postearning call, "We have selected a January 2008 launch window for our new open-world shooter, Frontlines."

Frontlines: Fuel of War is being developed by THQ's newly formed internal development house Kaos Studios. Kaos was re-formed back in 2006 from the remains of Trauma Studios and is known for being highly populated by former Battlefield 2 developers and as the creators of the Desert Combat mod for the original Battlefield .
