Zoo monster bug.

I remember reading from someone that escaped zoo monsters will not attack Starbases. Today, I had a zoo break out and one of the sharks ended up on top of the starbase that was right next to the planet the monsters broke out of. So the monster sat there. And I couldn't kill it. And the Arceans, who were my allies, sent at least fifty ships to surround the monster and my starbase, and those ships also sat there. But I could still send constructors to upgrade the base. I have a save game somewhat later with the monster peacefully sitting there surrounded. I just checked Drengin.net and it says I have version 0.9.017 Beta, and there are no upgrades available.

Have Fun!

Zenus,
the not attacking starbases is related to the UP issue where you can vote to make starbases immune from attack. This issue obviously should only effect the races though and monsters shouls be allowed attack. I believe it is already fixed for the next beta.
Not sure why the Arcean ships just sat there though. They should have attacked the monster. Perhaps there is a bug there.

Paul,

If the monster was on the same tile as the star base, how could you attack the monster without attacking the star base? The bug is that the monster was able to occupy the same tile as the star base.

Ahh,
that sounds like the old problem of placing new items (pirates, monsters) without checking what is already on the tile. I can certainly move my ships to attack the space monster when it's in such a position!
