Another one of my previews has been posted over at FileFront, this time it covers a game that I'm quite excited about called Guild Wars. Here's a snippet from the article:
From the creative genius that brought you games that became the reason for the genre known as the “hack ‘n slash RPG,” comes Guild Wars. Guild Wars is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game, more commonly known as an MMORPG, with a twist: it’s not really an MMORPG as we’ve come to expect. Sure there will be a lot of monsters to mutilate, a lot of people to party up with, and a whole hell of a lot of items and experience to hog (all for yourself, of course; you greedy, greedy gamer)… But Guild Wars is planned to be, as the guys over at ArenaNet (developers of Guild Wars) like to put it, a competitive RPG. This is something that makes this writer giggle in guilty pleasure more than a little boy hearing his first dirty joke.
