where are save games stored?

i'd like to reinstall the game but i want to safekeep my savegames.

i've re-installed before and they have never blown away the saved games. but they are in /.../galciv>data>saved games

For the default install location, the path is: C:\Program Files\Drengin.net\galciv\Data\SaveGames

well, i wanted to move it to a different folder, which is why i didn't just reinstall over top of the existing install. . . and it turns out that the game can be moved around, even to a different drive, without need of reinstallation. just like the dos games of old!
