Unable to Play the Beta.

I just installed the new Stardock Central app and upgraded to the 0.9.027 Galactic civ and Multimedia 1.0 versions. Now after the second screen, where you set up the intelligence of the alien races, it dumps me completely out of the game.

I am running W2k with SP3, 512m, Nvidia 750 XGL video card.

I am getting the same error after following the same setup proceedure which you have done.

Win2k, Sp2, 512mb ram, Nvida GeForce3 with 64mb ram

Merc.

(I'm kinda glad I've kept a back up of the old 0.8 beta version. lol.)

Same problem here.... :sniff!:
I assume this is Beta 5?

The new intro screen was nice though.

Game crashed after selecting alien profiles. Smart Exception opened up, but there was no log available.

Help!

Same problem here. The bar graph for setting up the game gets to approximately 66% and then crashes to the desktop.

Same here - looks like they have a big problem. It also looks quite bad to have such a late beta that (and I'm guessing here) nobody can actually start a game in. :)

BTW - this was with a fresh, from scratch, install.

I don't know what the situation is yet. Stardock Central is showing a slightly different picture of the situation than DGM is.

I'm in the middle of a scratch re-install using DGM.

I wouldn't suggest using Stardock Central yet.

Not as your main thing anyway. Keep the drengin one.

We seem to be missing some key files in the build available via SDC. Downloading the multimedia files does not help. We should have a correct build available later today.
