Former CEO of Prey developer Human Head Studios has joined forces with other industry veterans to create a new development studio in Madison, Wisconsin. Big Rooster will focus on original and licensed titles and will start with the fantasy-themed board game title Talisman set for release this winter for PC, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
Big Rooster will feature other Human Head alumni including Jeff Dewitt and Rowan Atalla, former animation director and art director respectively along with former Midway technical director Jason Blochowiak.
Gerritsen commented that "The opportunities for independent developers are better than they've been at any time in the industry. New markets and new technologies mean new leaders need to emerge."
