Ship Makers: Your help please

Hello, this is my first post and i would like to say, awsome game

Ok, to the problem. I am currently trying to design an aquatic variant for a custom race i am designing atm. However, i cant seem to make a hollow fin, http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l33/Veronw/HollowFin.jpg, a small example of a type of fin im trying to make. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as i havnt been able to figure it out over the past two weeks of trying.

Well, the link pointed to an image in which I didn't find a "hollow" fin. Can you illustrate better what you want to achieve? There are jewelries that resemble a fin and have some "hole". You can use them playing with rotations and scaling (but I suggest to use the Kryo's Hull Mod, place a cluster, then attach to it up to ten identical jewelries the kind you like and scale and rotate them like a fan).

well i had another image but it got corrupted after my comp went thru a rather vicous cycle of virus attacks, so that ones a no go. Im trying to create something like...a large sloping arc something along the lines of ^ (the ^ is my attempt at the arc) however having a smoother, flowing surface.
