Auto Attack Feature not working

When I select Auto Attack for a ship I am still getting the same problem I had in previous betas. A dialogue box comes up and says "We can't travel that far..."
It usually take about 20 clicks on the OK button before the message dissapears. Right now I have the message on the screen and I would estimate that I have clicked the button over 100 times with no luck.
Just FYI- There are enemy ships in range and I am at war.
Hope this gets fixed.
