Dan

Evicted On Too Short a Notice...

I know it's been a while since Dan got *eh hem* evicted, shall we say. And it's not that I haven't thought of him until now, because I have. And it's not that I've been busy either, because I haven't. So, really, I don't know why it's taken me this long to write it, maybe because I'm a very indecisive person.

It's not like we were great friends or anything. I talked to him once on AIM, and tried another time, but he didn't seem to want to talk to me. I just want to say that I'll miss him. He may have been arrogant, or just come across arrogant, but I suppose he has some right to be. (please don't bash me for saying that, all of you)

So, Dan, if you're reading this, just know that I miss ya; your confidence, your advice, your opinions, your intelligence, your writing, your comments. Know that you've made a difference here, which I'm sure you know you have.

If you're still writing, and want people to read your articles, I'll be more than willing to read. :) That's all.

Gerry:

He assumed an alter ego, 'dipique' and went around being just plain obnoxious and downright mean to people...basically griefing and trolling.  He went after one unsuspecting blogger - a person who had done him not harm whatsoever.  Brad figured him out and sent him off for a few days to see if he could cool his heels and act like a functioning memeber of JoeU sociery when he came back.

So, Dan comes back, and instead of being a good boy and minding his P's and Q's goes off on a typically Dan-esque rant about the Admins of this site and various users...on top of which he never really apologized for the 'dipique' episode...so Brad banned him.  Permanently.

Apparently he's found a way around it because he's shown up a few times as an anonomous user.

I can see how this site can become adictive but it sounds like he let it take over his life. Shame. Well done Brad though.
