CALLING ALL Computer GEEKS!!!!

CALLING ALL Computer GEEKS!!!!

I need some help here

Ok this is what's up.

I use system suite 7 it has a firewall, and virus scanner and adware, spyware, grayware, blah blah blocker.

After I run the adware, blah blah, I usually find a tracking cookie or two, I delete them, then I run spybot search and destroy, I find other cookies, and adware there, I delete them and then Immunize.

Today after running both of them I went to Housecall, A trend PC-illin product, I ran the adware blah blah and picked up two more both system suite and spybot missed, Is there any such thing as a complete adware and all of its offspring blocker that takes care of all this crap that seems to wiggle its way into my computer?

Norton is the worst virus you can put on a pc

Once Norton is on your system you'll NEVER get rid of the bastard!

That is untrue. Not "all" of Norton's products have this problem. Norton's Corperate Anti-Virus programs goes away completely when un-installed by "their" uninstall program. Windows uninstaller is what leaves junk behind.

SPY SWEEPER AND CCLEANER BOTH YOU CAN GET FROM CNET/ DOWNLOAD.COM. THEY HAVE KEPT THIS OLD COMPAQ RUNNING WELL FOR 5 YEARS. SWEEP FIRST THEN USE CCLEANER TO CLEAN UP THE REGISTARY.

I think Zone Alarm Internet Security 7 is a very good program. It does an in-depth scan so deep that Norton, McAfee and alot of other programs wouldn't catch. Personally I think it's a waste of time to use 2 or even 3 different programs on one computer for that because they use up so many resources; hence slows down your processor drastically.

ZLOB is a very hard virus to remove, if you follow all these steps in order, And just cause it seems gone dont stop there, do ALL steps it will be gone!

And yes you can remove all apps when you are finished>>>>

I personally think that all this adware threats, virus threats are created by the big antivirus companies (we all know who they are, no need for names ) in order to get us to buy more and more upgrades from these blood suckers.

The correct answer is no.

There isn't any one app that will 100% catch everything every time. There is simply too much crap coming at your machine when it's connected and there is a constant supply of new crap all the time. That's why there are so many different products that appear to do the same thing.

Ad Aware 2007 with the option Ad Watcher

Every time a new spyware is detected whilst surfing, it's pop up a windows saying that a new spyware is detected.

Also note that Spysweeper and Search And Destroy has minor and little spyware when you let it scan with a very new Ad Aware program like Ad Aware 2007 or Norton AntiSpyware 2007

um Spybot is great I run it

I run Norton and NO issues no spyware...

as I said BEFORE.... One can't prevent new adaware, spyware and viruses and such from being created... the TRICK is to use programs that watch out for and CHECK and Catch all the stuff.. and prevent it from getting into ones system..

least thats what I say

Without a doubt, "Sandboxie" is the program you are looking for. Zero cookies and ZERO everything else!

I know I had Norton Internet Security.... ended up formatting my hdd just to get rid of the damned program. I uninstalled, searched for Norton and Symantec, tried deleting the files left behind. No good. So I formatted. Works great now, and no Norton.

I was forced to do the same. This software was installed on my new PC. I have tried it - this program needs a lot of system resources but works much slowly. Then I tried to uninstall it and clear my registry... But this is impossible delete it like a virus!

As a result - formatting my system HDD and installing the Windows (I spent 2 days for this)! Now I use the NOD32 for Vista with a big pleasure, hate the Norton Products and sure that Symantec is in a dead end because their software has no future.

If all else fails pull out the lead connecting computer to internet and throw it away then you will be 100% sure it's safe... you will end up throwing the computer away as a boring bit of junk taking up space in the room.. but at least safe junk...........

I use CCleaner, noadware 5, snd spybolt mainly I don't download anything I am not sure of and scan with Avg before open files. seems to work ok for me . Gave up with Norton as it missed so much and that was paid for version while Avg is free version
