shps and their jobs

the different ships in the game need to start doing their jobs ie

scouts job is to scout and direct fire.

the light frigates job should be escort

the missile frigate should be to stand off and fire missiles at long range. they do do this.

the planet bomber should bomb planets or other wise stay under the protection of the cap ships and the light frigahttp://www.votehemp.com/mission_goals.htmlte.

the flak frigate i think is still anti-fighter should target fighters and bombers.

the colony frigate should be about colonizing planets otherwise stay under protection.

the cruisers seem to do their jobs.

the caps get confused half the time they will starting bombing and half the time they attack ships or infrastructure ie orbitals

the only ship that should run out to meet the enemy is the attack cruiser sorry forget its name.

sorry forgot the fighters and bombers

fighters should remain with the fleet and bombers should attack the largest-biggest ship in the fight


all of this is assuming no micro-management from the player

fighter/bomber AI still needs tweaking , agreed.... in the end I shouldn't have to micro them at all...

I agree with the fighters/bombers. Especially the fighters. I don't like having to micro them to engage enemy bombers when they're off attacking a research station or something.
