Here is my trash picker find...

Thought I'd throw in an old chicken coop I re-did.  I don't have a before picture but it was really dirty and stinky with chicken wire across the openings.  I cleaned it, crackle finished it, and used material to cover the openings.

I don't know if you can see the darker areas...those are the stains I talked about before...they actually make the piece look older (which I like) AND its not in perfect condition (which I also like).  (The drawers are a little "off."

Pfft. If I can do it, anyone can do it. I rushed this job because my husband called and he is coming home SATURDAY! WOOT. So I stopped sanding, beat it up a little more with a small chain I use to hang plants..and went with it.

It's great, Tova! Wonderful job, and now everytime you look at it you'll remember that day.

Thanks Loca...but every time I am stripping a piece I swear I'll NEVER do it again. It's hard work, and ya never know what's underneath...so sometimes, its time wasted. And I hate to waste time.

I couldn't do this in my 20's. It is something I picked up in my early 30's. If someone said to me in my 20's..I'd refinish furniture and sew...well, I would have laughed my butt off.

Yeah I feel bad about that. I picked it when I first came to JU and didn't know it was already out there. I asked about changing it, but don't think its possible.

Maybe in a few years I will develop some sort of useful talent. So far the only thing I've found that I have any skill with is childbirth. Haha.
