Best Buy?

I live close to several Best Buy stores and they don't have GalCiv. They don't have any information about it. Will Best Buy eventually get GalCiv or do I need to buy it from some other store?

EB Games has it at retail--that's where I got my copy. From what I recall, Brad said something about GalCiv hopefully appearing at Best Buy a bit later after release.

Whatever you do, get your hands on a copy! You'll be more than glad you did.

bestbuy normally is not the place to look for the nichegames (strategy) first. They are a mass market/lowest common deniminator outlet. If Deerhunter 10 comes out, they WILL have it on the day of release (like Wal Mart) but it will take a while for you see the niche games there. The fact they dont even have any info on it....hmmm. hey, about you buy a washing machine or telephone instead?

Well, I went to 2 Hastings outlets. 1 in Los Lunas, NM and the other in NE Heights of Albuquerque, NM. They didn't have it on the shelves or their computer game sections (both of them averaged 12ft by 12ft...small...).

Anyhow, I asked a clerk at the Los Lunas outlet, and he said "Never heard of it". Oh, and the Strategy game section contained a whole 5 games. :O

theres you answer. Sorry that you have no real software stores around you. maybe your best bet is to order online...download if you have the patience or jsut order the boxed package...you'll have it in a few days.

I too am hoping (for personal reasons) that Best Buy picks up GalCiv soon. Any chance they might, given the demand demonstrated by GameSpot (and presumeably other sources)?

GalCiv will probably arrive at Best Buy AFTER Hillbilly TycoonIII, Deer Hunter3D, The Sims Grandma"s Rampage add on, Generic RTS Clickfest Mania,and Duke Nukem Forever.
How about a nice new cell phone? Or CD player? ;)
