Scroll wheel action in OD folders

does anyone know why one cannot navigate folders in OD by using the scroll wheel?
i find it very annoying to have to click on the arrows top or bottom.

Interesting feature request.  Are you thinking about flyout menus or "normal" menus?

staying with the OD implimentation of folders...
i wanted to have a folder filled with custom entries but i didn't want it to be a fly-out.
it seems the only custom folder i can have is a fly-out but i find fly-outs to be unreliable in terms of speed;sometimes they're really slow & ,although they look nice,i'd rather have a simple list-view that shows quickly.
am i missing something?
is there a way to do this?
i need custom entries because i have to specify a particular program to open certain files so i can't just sling a "normal" folder on the dock as that would mean the files within the folder would all open in default applications...that's no good.
