Did your first game affect the rest of them?

mine did

On my first game I had no clue what I was doing, I just sort of played around with the buttons. I had two planets, the Arceans had about 25. The Yor were equivalent to my state of peril, and the Arceans kept asking for money. There was someone else in the game but I can't remember.

Anyway, for a long time, I hated the Arceans guts, I wanted to kill all of them.
After a while (35 games), I started to hate different people, especially the Torians, they always nab way more planets than me. And I started to like the slightly less major races, like the Iconians.

Just something I noticed when I was looking back at my old games.

Yeah first game I ever played I didnt gear up militarily fast enough and the Terrans started pushing me around and taking my planets. This was on something very low, like 1 or 2 levels above cakewalk so I pulled out a tech victory before my treasury hit negative 500 and grinded everything to a halt. I felt pretty crappy that I barely won on a low level like that and ever since I have hated seeing the Terrans when I start a game. Combine that with the fact that they are shrewd negotiators, and I regularly make it a point to wipe them off the galaxy first. Stupid Terrans...

For a long time, I had races that I either liked or disliked due to their actions in various games. However now, after repeated updates to the game have removed so many player options, I feel that the various races have no individuality left.

All of the AI factions now understand only one thing: military rating. They will all bully you if your military rating is low and they will all grovel before you if your military rating is high. Things like diplomacy skill, trade routes, and similar alignment mean almost nothing as of DA 1.6. IMNSHO, all the races are now just colorful masks on a disreputable crew of opportunistic clones.

To answer your question, then - at first, yes, but now, no. I am an equal opportunity H8R. The AI races are all the same at heart and all deserve their fate at the end. I used to feel a little badly about grinding a "good" race into the dust (not that it stopped me, heh), but now that I know that their only real idea of "good" is my destruction, not so much.

Spore. When you absolutely, positively got to kill every motherfrakker in the galaxy. Accept no substitutes.

Umm not true at all. I am practically always ranked last in military rating, yet I am able to use diplomacy ,trade , alignment. In fact only because of those things I am able to evade being bullied (whenever I see some race relation cooling off with me I pay off to my friends to wage war on them).
