Sierra Entertainment has announced the second expansion pack for their survival-horror FPS F.E.A.R. as part of their E3 showing. F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate will be heading to PCs and Xbox360s (although it will make the move to the console as part of F.E.A.R. Files which will include both expansion packs) this fall. The PC version will be a stand-alone title complete with its own storyline that "runs parallel to F.E.A.R. and Extraction Point revealing a new perspective of the event."
The new entry into the franchise will see a new developer taking over since Monolith Productions has left its partnership with publisher Vivendi and will be working on a direct sequel to F.E.A.R. albeit with a different name. TimeGate Studios will be helming the new project, they developed the F.E.A.R.: Extraction Point expansion, and in a shocking twist has decided to add some additional weapons to the title including "the Chain Lightning Gun, Grenade Launcher, and Advanced Rifle." F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate will also include a new group of enemies replacing the Replica soldiers with the Nightcrawlers.
