Hello All

Raelin here!

Newb as of today on StarDock etc.

I've been an artist all my life with a few years of school behind me. But I've got a few questions on getting started in the industry. Whether it be the art gaming industry, which I began my degree in or art in general. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty good for the most part but just can't "get myself out there"....

Any thoughts.....any help. I am stuck in a deadend ACCOUNTING job that is driving me NUTS!!!! I need to draw!!!!!!!!!!! :o)

Hi Raelin,

A good start would be to check out Monster.com for possible openings and to visit various developer websites for art openings. Plus, if you don't already have a game-centric art portfolio to show off your talents, it may be worth doing so. Another thing you can try is to join some mod teams for one or more of your favorite games. That would give you valuable experience and possibly help get you noticed.
