Space Monsters? Where?

For my first learning game..I am playing a simple game.
I haven't seen any space monsters yet...is that due
to it being a simple game? or am i just randomly unlucky
not to see one?

Randomly lucky. Basically, at some point, you might get a UP vote on creating a "Space Monster Attraction/amusement park." The vote is to see who gets it. It warns you that the space monsters might escape. Give the park to someone a long way away from you that you don't like. I've only seen it come up once that they didn't escape before the end of the bill arrived and when they escape, they're very big and very nasty, and take out just about anything in the early half of the tech tree without breaking a sweat. In fact, I have never even seen one killed. They escape and then go on an unguided rampage.

I got the space moster UP question. I stuck them by the Yor who were in a corner. I didnt see any when they escaped (and I did have one planet nearbly) but I won culturally not long after that.

There's also a randomly generated space shark that can pop up. :)

I saw this sample game by Frogboy and he got this event with a space monster, he solved it by shooting it down with a missile (bonuspak tech).
