If I wanted to use XP based skins I'd use XP, not Vista. There are certain elements that look ugly as it is with WB6 (thumbnail previews, volume mouseover, system clock), I don't really need to add onto it.

Is it that parts of the WB won't work or more technical then that? Again it looks pretty darn good in reply #264.

You arent seeing the explorer (unskinned, ugly) and IE (default tabs, yeah they fit well).

Yeah it looks nice with a taskbar, start menu and window frame, but you don't see anything else there do you?

Fact is.. most all skins will run on vista.. few will look good if not designed for and very few are 100 % Vista skinned.

Folks on XP OR Vista should check out Slider on Maxstyles.com... One of the most creative skins ever made for WB.

This skin looks sweet on Vista as you can see in my earlier post. I see no limitations in it at all. If you want your Vista to look stock, then what are you doing at Wincustomize?
Why don't you go to Maxstyles, download the demo and see if you like it? Then, if you don't like the looks of it you can delete it and at least say you gave it an honest try.
Personally, I will buy it the day it is released.

I do think that the XP in the name tends to concern Vista owners a tad. I suggest dropping the XP and just call it Slider. Just a suggestion.

Here's a screen of the items you mentioned. I do not run a clock in the task bar so it's not in the screen.

Look a that, the tabs in IE are flat out ugly, the nav bar is bright green and you cant even read the text on the folder location, what is acceptable to you clearly is not to me.

Oh and I don't mean that part of the sound, click on the icon, not only does it have a nice big black like to the right of the trackbar but their is no frame around it like Aero has.

I have tried it, downloaded it when the new version was up, it was applied a whole 3 seconds.
And I agree with you, his other recent theme is named Knot Vista too. We get it, you don't like Vista.

First, click on the yellow bar to open it in it's own window, then you have to click on the picture to bring it to the correct size. The screen is in 1680x1050 and is probably larger then your resolution hince the garbled text.

Yes that was well established, im simply saying that I do not find what im seeing here to be acceptable, especially for a blind thats going to be payware. Perhaps for XP users it is, I just don't get why people use "20% of people who come here use Vista" as an excuse. People have posted the numbers of visitors and 20% isnt exactly tiny.

Its Ir's decision whether to make it XP only or Vista too.. quit pushing it. Your hijacking the thread for no reason. Its an XP skin.. deal with it.

Yeah, thats tough. If you don't like hearing it then take your own advice, just ignore it. I'm not pushing for anything here, have I demanded Vista addons? No. I actually did the exact opposite and said I AM NO LONGER INTERESTED.

Til SKS 6 is out of beta AND works well...I'm just making XP versions.This skin AND Knot Vista will eventually have fully tweaked Vista versions.
Until then I am sorry to disappoint Vista users,any appearance of Vista compatibility is just luck.  
Even if I personally think Vista is awful(skinned or unskinned),dosnt mean I dont see the eventual need to begin including it.For now,the amount of users and the state of SKS make it unappealing.  

I'll get there eventually.  Some day that start menu will say Slider Vista.
