'Age of Conan' Steps Back To 2008

MMO Coming in March 2008; Delayed For Quality

Funcom has announced that Age of Conan – Hyborian Adventures has been delayed till 2008 from its already delayed time of October 2007. Originally scheduled for second half of 2006 the title will now be beheading all who come by on March 25, 2008.

According to Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas the delay was caused by a large amount of feedback streaming from the beta participants and wanting to deliver on the game's "massive expectations." The title's director, Gaute Godager added "We are honored by the immense reception our game is constantly getting, with an astounding amount of positive press coverage, awards and magazine covers, but we still see that we need to polish some aspects of the game even further, especially when it comes to the entry barriers. With the added development time we can now deliver something even more unique and powerful, something which is worthy of the incredible Conan legacy."
