New races question

I've been searching through various posts to learn more about the game. One thing I came across was that the two new races in the altarian prophecy will not have pictures. Just symbols that have already been used by the alexians and carnoids.

Is this true?!

If it is then that'd be a disappointment. I don't like how the minor races don't have portraits. It doesn't feel realistic. How hard could it be to make portraits anyway? I'm into graphic designing myself, and it's really not that hard.
But now they're saying the two new major races will not have portraits?! Geez, that makes me not want to buy the game. >:(

Oh okay. I did one of those forum searches and found that some where. I guess it's not true.

Just DLed AP last night, they do indeed have portraits.

The ability to set all of the programmed opponents intelligence level with one click is very nice, as well, the new ships rock, got to try out the Paladin last night on the Yor, suffice to say, it worked quite well!

Just remember, it's still a beta, so you may encounter a bug, or two, but it is well worth the purchase.:)

The *minor* races in AP still do not have their own portraits. But the 2 new majors definately do.

2 more Alien races to trade, ally, bully, be bullied, compete against, and conquer. Lots of fun. ;)

What's funny is that the minors are usually less in numbers than the majors. This tends to make the game revolve around the starting minors. What really annoys me is that the in-game random minors don't even get portraits when they appear. If you can make galciv than how hard can making 2D nonanimated logos be?

Might be due to alignment. Paladin sounds like a ship for a Good player, whereas Wraith sounds Evil.

Not now :) , i am trying to follow the steps of one of our best players in our empire and metaverse Lothmorg!

I'll see how it goes... if the Dark side wont be promissing, especially when Fundamentalist come over in the game againt all evil civ taking most of my planets!

Not bug. Good guy only. Wraith and Vampire are Evil Guy ships. Sovs rock and Paladins are sweet.

Yeah, we need more minors. Very funny to make Vietnam for agressive Drengins. Just build many (30) low-end ships (BattleAxe), and sell them to the minors. unfortunatelly, when I sold them, poor Carnoids gone bankrupt. They couldn't pay 3000bc for 6 months early in the game. And when the next wave of Battle Axes were complete, poor Alexians and Jarkians couldn't pay too. So I sold them to the Drengins ;)
