Crash to Desktop, then can't reload.

Hi,
I was playing a game this afternoon, when Galciv did a CTD. I reloaded the Autosaved game, and when the game loads there is a blank research screen (or maybe it's the summary screen - can't tell.) I click on the Done button and the main map is just a red block.
Can reload other games or start again without problems... just this particular game state has caused a problem. I have zipped up the savegame and can send it to you guys if you want to look at what the cause is.
