Activision's press release via the Leipzig Games Convention has yielded a release window of the first Call of Duty to feature modern warfare, Call of Duty 4. The newest iteration will be dropping to retailers on November 5 for PC, PS3, Xbox 360 as well as Nintendo DS. CoD4 is being developed by series creator Infinity Ward, who skipped out on Call of Duty 3.
Also part of the press release is the information regarding what Activision is doing with their James Bond license. The largest third-party publisher took over the property from the former largest third-party publisher, Electronic Arts, and has kept mum since. Finally Activision has announced that there is indeed a title under development and that it will be getting the same style treatment as their other newly announced property Spider-man: Friend or Foe, with three different developers on-board. Beenox, Treyarch, and Vicarious Visions are developing the title for the PC, consoles and hand-held systems (most likely in that respected order) with no release date specified.
