A few questions:

Hi,

I've been playing and enjoying the game, but have a few gameplay/strategy questions I need help with. Any assistance would be much appreciated:

Trade: Does the planet that actually BUILDS/PRODUCES a freighter determine the "origin" of the trade route? If true, this would seem to mean only your financial capital would ever be likely to build this unit and you could not trade for freighters because you would just be establishing a trade route for the empire that built it?

Planet class: Is there any kind of guideline for what the "optimum" population levels are by planet class?

Buying ships: When you buy a ship, do you get that ship at the selling empire's technology levels (Attack, defense, scanners, speed, etc.) or your own tech levels (including racial/party bonuses)?

Thanks in advance for your time and help. :)

- ANY planet can build a freighter once trade has been researched. Send it as far as possible to max revenue.

- See post Colony Morale

- Dont know, never notices, use constructors to mine military resource, immediate impact on hit points (next turn I think).

have fun

On Buying ships you get the ship with your own tech levels.
