Metaverse scoring system; Question

How exactly does the scoring system work?

I've played two games. On the first game my score was 324. On the second game my score was 514.

Now I'm looking at my overall score. It appears to be 593.
Shouldn't my overall score be 838?

I'm a bit confused on how exactly the overall score works. Could some one please fill me in?

Your score is determined by raw score (added together) divided by the squareroot of the number of games you played. In your case 838/sqrt(2)=592.5555 rounded to 593.

There are blocks of 30 days. When you have a game that drops past 30 days, you get 95% of the original score. -5% per month.

I understand the first part.

Now about the second part. So on May 12th, my scores will go down 5%. Then on June 12th, my scores will go down by Another 5%?
If this is how it is, then what happens when it's at 0?

Another question...

...Will I end up getting a higher score with a higher difficulty?

Difficulty is one major part, so probably yes.

Scoring is based on your most recent game. All games within 30 days are treated as one block, similarly 31-60 days is another block,61-90,91-120,121-150,151-220 and 221-290 are the other splits.

Each block is totalled and then divided by the square root of the number of games in that block.

The score for each block is then aged - 5% for each block away from the current one for metaverse score, 10% for empire scores - hence eg block 91-120 is aged by 15% for meta and 30% for empire scores.

Finally the aged scores for all the blocks are totalled to give your scores.

This info should really be included in some form on the Metaverse link, possibly the Legend location. I've see this asked several times quite recently, though a couple of those may be hidden in Empire threads, as well, if the Metaverse factor is one of the keys to the game's sales, longevity, and overall player participation level, having this basic type of information available to players, and easily accessible seems to me worth the time investment required to make it so.
