What he means is if you have 2 spare civ slots and no spare military slots, you should be able to build a military structure for 2 of the civ slots.

no what i mean is you may want to build all civ structure or all military structure in one grav well.

example you want to build all military structures so you convert 2 civ. points to one military point.

spare civ slots ?

me confused....

all buildings use logistics, unless they are a weapon or defense then they use tactical slots...

what if you don't want to build that resource base. but would rather build another hanger. or you don't want to build that hanger and want to build another research base.

Would kinda defeat the point of balancing the limits, though.

This where the space farms come in to play.

the limits are still there just moved one way or another at a cost.

What you are suggesting is having no specific tactical, or logistics slots at all. Just "slots" to build whatever you wish in them. Be it military or civilian. This idea was suggested before, but it didnt go over to well.

no i am not

i am suggesting that you be able to take those 20 logistics slots that you don't want to use as civilian buildings cutting it in half thus making 20 slots for military buildings. that would be an additional 2 hangers and 2 guns. i don't see how that is unlimited slots or using them as what ever slots(at least not at a cost.)
or take those 35 military slots that you don't want to use as military buildings and using them as 17 civilian slots.

that is not unlimited slots either.
