my first game

I lost....not bad really (medium galaxy, all AI set to beginner)....It came down to me and the Arceans at the end...I attacked them, but it was too late...they had battleships and Dreadnaughts...the best ship i had was a Frigate and BattleCruiser...although, i was in the process of building my first Battleship.

I really am not good at computing combat...need to practice on that...

I submitted my game to the Metaverse...it went through with no problem...i am ranked 162 (lol....YEAH!!!!)

A good game though, i really never fully recovered from the arrival of the Draginol though...and after that, the Arceans were just too powerful for me to really counter.

I was only 4-6 points behind in tech research...but still, that can criple ya i guess...Does anyone know exactly what "Time Intensive Research" actually means?

Also, someone i read somewhere on here said he couldn't surrender...i did...all you gotta do is give over all of your planets...

Well, gonna go back and start a new game....

Selecting the correct items on the tech tree is the key to advancing your tech.

You need to focus your research, so you can advance rapidly.

It really helps to focus your planet upgrades so that research is maximized.

My game against the Drengins, I had Battleships all over, they had nothing bigger than corvairs. I fell behind in colonization, because I got lazy with making new colonies, but I dialed in the research to perfection.

This was on my 2nd game.

I believe that time intensive reasearch is the project that took the longest for you to research.
