Morale keeps droping and droping

from Stardock Forums
Ive played a few games no problem, but on my current game the morale on all my planets keeps droping constantly. I keep lowering the taxes to the point where im making almost no money, and morale is still at 45% and droping. Im not at war with anyone, so what could be the problem?

Heh and now ive been hit with an economic recession and im losing 500 per turn. Sigh

In my opinion, you are most likely being hit by destabilization from one (or more!) of the other AIs. It's a bitch, and I'm not sure what to do about it, other than declaring war on them and killing them off. :notsure:

most likely?anyway to know? I'd hate to think I have to GUESS at whats going on like I did with ANOTHER recent space game.

I'd be willing to bet your planets are overpopulated. The closer they get to the max pop, the unhappier the people get. Load them up onto a colony ship and drop them off onto another planet.

If you don't want to move them right now, focus on PQ improvements. That'll increase the max pop of the planet and reduce the overpopulation problem in the short term.

There's no way to garuntee a warning, but the higher your espionage spending, the more likely it is that you will get warnings and news reports on things the other races are doing.
