Auto survey request

I'd like to request that auto survey NOT be automatically deactivated when no more anomalies can be detected. Since anomalies now randomly respawn, this'd let us keep searching for them as the game goes on.

hmmm well if the AI is set to automatically reactivate its servey ships then it is only fair yours should too.

I do not know if the AI is coded to replace a lost servey ship tho? Otherwise a player could end up being the only race with servey ships?

They don't appear to so in this beta. That might come later.

In any case, CariElf is looking into the auto-survey matter.

I Liked it when the AI's lost their flagships in Galciv1! And they did that often enough, especially with space monsters around. Then all the galaxies anomalies would be mine, all mine! mwwwwaaahhh.

Space monsters would also be inconvinient for human auto servey users if they were in DL/DA

Instead of autosurvey remaining on, or in addition to that, could the game have that news report robot tell you that theres a rumor on the trade routes that an anomoy has been sighted, or that the sensors on one of your outposts has found a new anomoly.

Since its random, won't it be fun to go rushing to an anomoly to get one of those 1 bc "lucky day" or what a waste og time" ones.

Maybe the AI will actually race to build the galactic guide book, then they won't have to worrry about having a survey ship at all. I think I will finally go build it.

The cost of a Survey module was never a big obstacle. How many 45bc Survey modules can you build for the cost of Galactic Guide Book? Trick question: answer is 9, if you don't count the cost of the ones you already have and the cost to research up to Sensors III. So how many Survey ships do you need, even with recurring anomalies?

hehehe, well i can see the only real use for the Galactic guide book then is to stop the AI having it!
