Working hard all week is worth it when you have a lot of fun on the weekend!
I remember at school… weekends were eagerly anticipated of course, but I never really held them in the same high regard as I hold weekend’s now… That was probably because when I was younger, the weekends meant one night of partying, and probably two shifts at McDonalds! Depending on the strategic placement of these shifts, they had the capacity to make ones weekend a dreary affair of labour!!!
Now I work full time, the importance I place on my weekends is paramount! They have also become much more fun than they ever were in high school! Probably because I am working all week, I have a lot more money to appreciate them more!
This weekend was no different! I thought I would be a little tired because I missed a whole evening of sleep last weekend, and I haven’t really caught up – but in all honesty, I was charging for these weekend activities long before I had any extra curricular assistance!
Friday went relatively slow at work, although, I did have one little release for entertainment throughout the day! A friend of a friend, a fine female lassie, has recently become single… So we were emailing each other a fair bit on Friday… I met her last Saturday night, only briefly though, and I couldn’t really remember the finer details of what she looked like? I was probably stupid, because I was flirting outrageously with her… I was playing with fire… but she was going to the Wet Music party that night as well, so I could either consolidate, or back of… more on that later
I went to Eoin’s straight after work to pick up my little party pack for the evening activities – has a quiet beer there, and just eagerly anticipated the foreclosing night. I got home, and Glen picked me up and took me back to his place, where the carnage commenced – A big hello to Remy if you are reading this mate – what an awesome weekend!!! We had a fair bit of alcohol, and the boys were primed for an excellent evening. We had obtained half a gram of Louie, and a couple of the boys were Louie Virgins, so seeing the eagerness on their faces as I was racking up was quite funny! You could tell the difference as soon the event had taken place… The taxi ride was sooo funny – we were all edgy and could not sit still! We were all so eager for a grand night!
AS soon as we walked into the Hi Fi lounge, from the vibe already present, we could tell it was going to be a rocking night. The Hi Fi bar is right in the middle of Melbourne, and the sound you can crank inside that venue is phenomenal. Adrian was looking after production, so I got a good look at the backroom activities…
There were sooooo many of my friends there! It looked like Melbourne’s Techno Community was present in its entirety! Techno parties are the best, because the vibe is fantastic!!! I saw the chick mentioned earlier in this article, and she was so ridiculously good looking, it wasn’t funny! As soon as I saw her, she dragged me to the bar, and bought a round of tequila slammers – I think she wanted to get me drunk and have her way with me! Oh well, she is only human! Any way, I kind of like this girl, even though she is a half a head taller than me, so I played it exceptionally cool… basically stayed out of her way the whole evening except when we brought rounds! I found it quite easy; because there were heaps of people there I could talk to!
Musically, the night was fantastic! Heaps of kiddies rocking to some of the finest techno Melbourne had to offer! Linas was very happy with his set, and justifiably so – the crowd went absolutely nuts to a build up in the middle, and it was good to see! The guys I rocked in with were having an absolute blast! These guys are usually fans of energy and trance dance music, and I cannot emphasise how happy that makes me! I guess you could call it competitive, I mean, I don’t dislike anyone for admiring crap music, I just find myself asking why – and the fact that they have seen the light is something very heart warming for me!
Anyways – my plan seemed to have worked… hot chick came back to my place… and we got to know each other a little better. Now, because I like her, I just remained smooth and calm, and we just had a good get to know each other session… a few of the crew had come back as well anyway, so there wasn’t really an opportunity to drive any points home, but I am rather happy with the way things are panning out so far… man, is she hot!!!
I ended up going to sleep at about 10.30am in the morning after everyone left… It was a broken amphetamine sleep, but I felt sufficiently rested when I got up at 18.00pm!!! AS soon as I got up, I went over to Glens’ house again – it was time to hit the pubs!!! We got sufficiently pre-wasted on alcohol again! And we were actually still quite charged from the previous night’s activities! I really am a creature of the night when it comes to weekends! I don’t see much daylight at all! I think I saw about 2 hours tops this weekend! We went to the perseverance on Brunswick St. in Fitzroy – we have been there a couple of times… Lyndon, Glen and I all seem to feed of each other, and whilst there were plenty of fine ladies, we just had a good time relaxing! We did bust a little on the dance floor, but not overly exuding ourselves!
Linas was playing in the city again at 2.15am, so we left Fitzroy and trekked it city side – the club was a little dead, but the whole posse was there, so we were able to have a good time! Lyndon and Glen left about 30 mins before I did, but we had a few car loads of dudes come back to our place in the grove, where Muggaz was inspired to do more naughty things. I played a few games of chess, and also a little X-box, and before I knew it, it was 8.00am in the morning – I needed to go to bed!
I woke up 16.30pm quite refreshed! There were a few messages on my phone though – I had to play soccer at 8.40pm last night. We played the top team, and beat them by one goal! Sunday night games aren’t the greatest! But they certainly are a great detox! I was supposed to go to Vlat’s house to watch the Monaco grand prix – understandably, I feel asleep on my couch as soon as I got back from soccer!
I have Australia vs Turkey tonight – Danny couldn’t come, so Eoin is going to come with me! It should be good fun, I hope we win… but I seriously need to catch up on some sleep this week!!! As next weekend is also going to be relentless!!! I am also looking forward to watching developments with hot chick… God I love girls!!!
