Hello!

This week, Microsoft released the final version of Windows DreamScene for Windows Vista Ultimate customers.  The news has spread far and wide, and Microsoft was kind enough to single out Dream.WinCustomize.com and Stardock DeskScapes as the place to go for the best content in the community.

Chances are, you're here because of that announcement.  We've seen a phenomenal response from the community since the announcement, and our servers are handing out Dream after Dream after Dream.  Every statistic we track on the site has shot through the roof since the Microsoft announcement.  It's incredibly exciting for us, and I imagine for the Dream artists whose work suddenly has a much larger audience.

To all of you new DeskScapes users, downloading your first Dreams and taking this feature of Windows Vista for a spin, I'd love to hear from you!

So give us a wave here in the comments to let us know you're here and give us any feedback you have on the Dream site, Stardock's DeskScapes software, the quality of the content here, whatever you want.  We need your feedback to know what we need to do next with the tools and site.

Yes. Vista was difficult at first w/o latest chipset and Intel bios updates but I love it. Dreamscapes is just the extra icing on the cake.

i love dreamscene and deskscapes,it started me off making animations for my own desktop.

would like some more info on triggers though eg. how they work and what can be done with them.

I'm the one you should thank for the implementation of this add-on. Glad I took the time to care to read the first few lines on another forum, as I'm the one who suggested this feature to Microsoft at least well over a year ago.

I got sick of static background images, and got the inspiration to mention that to them after seeing a screen saver program that was made a while ago, that aquarium one, that has salt water fish swimming and bubbles coming up. I told them with all the improvements in video card processing power nowadays, why is it so boring that we can't implement that stuff while the user is working and not just a screensaver while they're away. Even though it IS more of a distraction when one is trying to work. I thought at the time it would be a neat idea to at least tell them and see if they can try it.

So to reiterate, this new add-on of theirs did NOT come from the brain of anyone working at MS. It was MY idea, and MY suggestion. So whoever got my email obviously thought it had merit, and sent it to the top where the idea was claimed by some executive as "their own".

One day I will have to try the program out, but I am still using windows XP after experimenting with vista RC2. I hope this wallpaper software will make good strives in alleviating boredom behind the desktop.
