Prioritizing Targets

I have not participated in any of the Betas but I was wondering if Sins does/will have a system to allow the player to prioritize targets for the AI.

paraphrased from the devs: The targeting AI is perfect and will not be changed.

eet...

It's not been determined yet on how much control players will have over this. The AI is a work-in-progress.

Something akin to that would be a kickass feature for fighters/bombers

I am just bringing it up because I find it really annoying in other games when your units are told to defend an area but have no priority system for choosing what target they attack besides whatever one they see first.

Ex: Planes are told to patrol and area and a group of ground units pass through the area the planes ignore the AA units and attack the individual infantry and armor, getting destroyed by the AA.

One thing ive notiched is that all of my fighters attack one bomber instead of spreading out and attacking more targets at once.

lol i was playing single player and by the end my fleet was this big:

3 Dunovs
2 Kols
2 Sovas
2 Marzas
2 Akkans
10 Garda Flak Frigates
10 Command Cruisers
15 Kodiaks
10 Light carriers
5 Robotics Cruisers
55 Cobalts
50 Missile Frigates
(and lots of squadrons of fighters and bombers)

SOOOOOO, with this many ships, I just let them do watever they wanted using their target priority AI!!

lol here's a pic

Yep, still its a good strateg for softening up highly entrenched positions.

I suggest a few carriers and a hoshiko or 5

I like caps, kodiacs, and light cariors

lots and lots and lots of light carriors.

and also when I get a big fleet I do that to, just jump them in and let them do thier thing

quite a bit differnt with a small fleet though.
