Message Board in Serious Need of Features

from Stardock Forums
With the increasing volume in message board traffic,
it is becoming hard to follow the threads.

1. Notification (via email) when new posts are added;
thread subscription.
2. Editing posts.

Please consider updating the boards. Please don't make
it a SDC only feature. I only use Windows for games.

I respectfully agree. And a Search function! :)

Yeah those would all be nice to have. Its getting hard to follow stuff if you miss a day.

The boards are not a SDC only function, apparently you can use your regular newsreader to post as well.

A search function is crucial for a message board like this. It would help not only with newbie-type questions but also for those interested learning more strategy, how to handle economy, combat, etc.

Agreed. Also the fact that all threads appear on one long page is starting to make browsing a bit cumbersome.
If it can't be automatically split - then how about some extra forums eg -
Download/Purchase/Registration/SDC Issues
Bugs/Updates/Suggestions
Strategy
General/Newbie questions.

That would at least make manual searching easier.

Yes we could stand a full function board ala Apolyton.
Not find the one that have changed since my last visit at a glance is a pain. Not being able to edit.....

Break out post by categories such as bug, strat, mods, etc. Then people can skip the stuff they are not interested in, I mean if you you have no crashes, you do not care to see post about failures.
