The opening game menu doesn't work for me?

Only aspect of the opening FLASH menu for the game that works are EXIT and PLAY GAME... the other possibilities (survival guide, metaverse) do not work! I'll try reinstalling (again) but so far no luck, anyone else face this and fix it??

Survival guide and Metaverse call a link in your default browser, so if you use a huge browser which needs long to load you have to wait some time (Phoenix needed around 1/2 minute for me), also if you have not set a default browser, these buttons wont do anything.
