Win98SE & SBLive fix (sorta)

I have a Dell XPS T700R (PIII 700MHz)that came with Win98SE and a SBLive value card. I've got the latest drivers from Creative and I have hardware acceleration set to 'full', but I still get the 'crash to desktop' syndrome anywhere from 5 min to 1/2 hour into the game. I have found a temporary fix, though, and I thought that I'd share it with everyone until Stardock can come up with a fix: I just turn off Sound FX and Music in the options menu: No more CTD's!

Hey, I wish I didn't have to do this, but it's better than the alternative.
Hope this helps others who have been having CTD's.
I'm also trying to find the program that helps Brad identify bugs. I've heard its in the 'free stuff' area. Where's that located?

In Stardock Central click on software.
There is a tab for free stuff.
Smart Exception is in there.

Thanks for that - it explains why I am getting so many crashes, so often! I have 98SE and SB Live! value card too.
